WILL HE EVER GO AWAY?

Clinton worshippers often ask why "the right" continually bashes Bill Clinton almost a year and a half after he left office. It never occurs to them that maybe it is because Clinton has yet to realize that he left office. While donning their Armchair Psychologist hats, Clinton's inexplicable army of clinging faithfuls assign platitudinal motives to Clinton critics, such as a pathological hatred for anyone who tirelessly gives of himself to create a better world for mankind. (It's hard to take them seriously when they obstinantly refuse to recognize the pathology of their object of worship.) One motive they'll never accept is that their deity-figure continually says and does perplexingly insipid things in public in order to further his policy agenda.

Take for example this clip of a story from Reuters:

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine (Reuters) - The Bush White House denied a report on Sunday that the Clinton administration gave it an aggressive plan to take on al Qaeda that languished for eight months because of the change in presidents.

Time Magazine reported on Sunday that a plan to strike at al Qaeda was developed in the final days of the Clinton administration and presented to President Bush's new national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, in January 2001.

So now Time Magazine, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Clinton Syndicate, wants us to believe that Clinton had a master plan to save us from the elusive al Qaida menace. Could these people possibly be more ridiculous? I don't mind when people insult their own intelligence. I get irritated when they try to insult mine.

To that end, let's do a little memory refresher for the knotheads at Time. Al Qaeda introduced themselves to the American public in 1993 with their first attempt to knock over the World Trade Center. Having been unsuccessful, they promised to come back and finish the job.

And that they did, but not before they blew up our embassies and naval ships with almost zero reaction from the U.S. And not before our own administration used the media to tip off al Qaeda about a pending military operation in Somalia, whose disasterous results are dramatized in the now-famous film "Blackhawk Down." What was the Clinton administration's reaction to all of this? Tuck tail and run, then blow up a few tents and the odd pharmecutical plant from a cozy distance. We sure showed them!

It also bears reminding the staff of Clinton Mag--er, I mean Time Magazine, that Clinton was twice offered bin Laden's ass on a silver platter, and he turned it down both times. Way to strike fear in al Qaeda's heart.

And now these unrelenting revisionist clowns expect us to believe that the Clinton administration waited precisely eight years to put together a plan to attack al Qaeda, all while our embassies were repeatedly attacked, our naval ships were blown open, and the nerve center of our economic system was bombed?

What saddens me is that millions who refuse to give up their false god will believe it.
